Water Restoration Technician (IICRC WRT)
Bedrock Restoration — St. Louis Park, MN
$22–28/hour · Full-time · On-call rotation
About the role
We respond when water damage hits — burst pipes, appliance failures, storm intrusion, and sewage backups across homes and light commercial properties in the Twin Cities. As a Water Restoration Technician, you'll run mitigation jobs from first contact through dry-out: assessing the loss, extracting water, setting drying equipment, and documenting the job to standard. This is a step up from our apprentice track — we're looking for techs who are certified and want to own jobs, not just assist on them.
What you'll do
- Perform water extraction, structural drying, and moisture mapping using air movers, dehumidifiers, and air scrubbers
- Identify water categories and classes and apply the right drying approach per IICRC S500
- Take moisture readings, monitor drying progress daily, and adjust equipment as needed
- Document scope, photos, readings, and equipment with accuracy for insurance carriers
- Perform controlled demolition and content handling when required
- Communicate clearly and professionally with homeowners during stressful situations
- Participate in the on-call rotation for emergency (24/7) loss response
What we're looking for
- IICRC Water Damage Restoration Technician (WRT) certification — required, or willingness to obtain within 90 days (we pay for it)
- Applied Structural Drying (ASD) certification a strong plus
- 1+ year in water mitigation, restoration, or a related trade preferred (apprentice-level candidates ready to certify will be considered)
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation to job sites
- Able to lift 50+ lbs, work on your feet, and handle physical labor in varied conditions
- Comfortable in occupied homes and tight/wet spaces; respirator-capable
- Dependable, detail-oriented, and calm under pressure
Why join us
- $22–28/hour, based on certification and experience
- Company-paid IICRC certification and a clear path from WRT to ASD and beyond
- Overtime and emergency call pay opportunities
- All tools and drying equipment provided
- Paid training and room to grow into lead tech / estimator roles
- A team that backs each other up on tough jobs
Schedule
- Full-time, Monday–Friday with rotating on-call for emergency response
- Overtime available
