Position Overview
We are seeking a “Packaging & Shipping Specialist for Light Sculptures” to join our team. We take immense pride in our craftsmanship, and our packaging and shipping process requires the same high standard of care, accuracy, and presentation. This role is essential in the distribution of our products. The candidate will be assisting with the cleaning, packaging, shipping, and quality control of porcelain and metal light fixtures. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, timely, and has experience with inventory management and customer support.
Key Responsibilities
- Carefully package high-value, fragile ceramic sculptures to ensure damage-free delivery.
- Create, verify, and print shipping labels accurately while tracking outgoing orders.
- Email clients with tracking information when orders are shipped and update relevant spreadsheets in Google Sheets.
- Photograph packed shipments and upload structured documentation directly into Google Drive folders.
- Ensure all daily orders are processed, packaged, and shipped on time according to dispatch schedules.
- Receive incoming inventory and materials, maintain updated shipping records, and keep the packaging workspace clean and organized.
Required Qualifications
- Digital Literacy: Comfortable utilizing Google Drive, Google Sheets, handling photo uploads, and sending emails.
- High Attention to Detail: Precise and thorough, especially when handling delicate artwork and verifying label details.
- Time Management: Able to work independently, manage daily priorities, and meet consistent shipping deadlines.
- Physical Capability: Ability to safely pack, handle, and lift packages throughout the workday.
- Communication: Clear verbal and written communication skills.
- Process Focus : Ability to follow written instructions and procedures to a “T”.
- Teamwork: Ability to learn and grow within a collaborative team environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Shipping experience with a background in shipping and receiving, order fulfillment, mail handling, or inventory management.
- Able to safely work with hand tools and power tools with provided personal protective equipment.
- Interest in artisan production and appreciation for handcrafted design.
