What you’ll do
- Develop and implement creative curriculum tailored to the developmental needs of preschool-aged children.
- Foster a safe, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment that encourages exploration and curiosity.
- Utilize effective behavior management techniques to promote positive interactions among students.
- Plan and conduct lessons in literacy education, math, physical education, and other core subjects to support holistic development.
- Collaborate with parents and caregivers to communicate progress and address any concerns regarding child welfare.
- Provide individualized support for children with special needs through early intervention strategies.
- Maintain classroom organization and cleanliness while ensuring all materials are age-appropriate and accessible.
- Participate in ongoing professional development to stay current with best practices in early childhood education.
Experience
- Proven experience working with young children in a preschool or daycare setting is essential.
- Familiarity with Montessori methods or other progressive teaching philosophies is a plus.
- Strong communication skills to effectively engage with children, parents, and colleagues alike.
- Experience in lesson planning, curriculum development, and classroom management is highly valued.
- Knowledge of principles of childhood development and behavior management strategies is crucial.
- Previous experience with standardized testing or tutoring can enhance your effectiveness in this role.
