Duties
- Perform professional manicure and pedicure treatments, including gel manicures and nail extensions using acrylics or other techniques
- Apply color theory principles to create custom nail designs and art that match client preferences
- Maintain strict salon safety protocols by adhering to sanitation, disinfection procedures, and proper disinfection of tools and workstations
- Communicate effectively with clients to understand their needs, recommend suitable services, and provide aftercare advice
- Upsell retail products such as nail care items, polishes, or skincare products to enhance client satisfaction and increase sales
- Follow all salon safety protocols to ensure a clean and safe environment for clients and staff
- Stay updated on current trends in nail art, esthetic laser treatments, eyelash extensions, hair styling, body waxing, hair extensions, and other beauty services offered in the salon
Qualifications
- Valid cosmetology or esthetician license with certification in nail technology or related fields
- Proven experience working as a Nail Technician or in the beauty industry with knowledge of manicure, pedicure, gel nails, acrylic application, and nail extensions
- Strong understanding of color theory and nail care best practices
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to connect with diverse clients and understand their preferences
- Knowledge of sanitation standards, disinfection procedures, and salon safety protocols
- Ability to perform detailed nail art designs using various techniques including dermabrasion or other advanced methods
- Experience in retail sales and upselling techniques to promote products effectively
- Additional skills such as eyelash extensions, esthetic laser treatments, hair styling or barbering are a plus but not required
