About the student
- 9th grade student
- The student needs to work with a tutor for support for her high school Chemistry class (she is homeschooled!)
- The tutoring is being funded by an agency so the tutor needs either a minimum of a bachelor's degree in Chemistry OR a teaching certification in Chemistry (Grades 7-12)
- The student is a 9th grader being homeschooled. She currently understands some parts of Chemistry and not others. She needs help filling in on fundamental concepts. She wants to work with a tutor that can hep her fill in any gaps and make sure her Chemistry knowledge is evenly adequate across the board.
- The goal is for the student to fill any fundamental gaps she may have for the subject.
- The family is asking for 1 hour sessions 2 times a week. She is available Monday & Wednesday from 9am-3pm & Tuesday & Thursday from 9am-11:30am.
- The family is seeking a tutor who can meet at their home in Lithia not far from Barrington Middle School.
Qualifications
- Ideal candidates have prior experience working with high school students.
- Ideal candidates will have prior experience tutoring or teaching Chemistry.
- Ideal candidates will have either a Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or a Teaching Certification in Chemistry for grades 7-12.
- Willing to travel within your preferred local radius to meet the student (typically 5-10 miles)
- Due to insurance requirements, applicants must not be a minor.
Student Availability
MON & WED : 9:00am-3:00pm
TUE & THUR: 9:00am-11:30am
Pay & Benefits
- $26.00-$32.00 per hour
