TREATMENT ASSISTANT RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Must be fully trained to assist the doctor on all dental procedures.
- Prior to treatment, reviews the patient's chart, medical history and treatment plan and consent forms to identify any potential concerns for the dentist to consider.
- Turn all equipment on at the beginning of each day and turn off accordingly at the end of each day.
- Individual must exhibit professional urgency to seat patients on-time and complete appointment within the allotted time given.
- Accurately charts using the SOAP format and documents all notes pertaining to the patient during the exam and treatment set forth by the company guidelines.
- Educates every patient on steps throughout the appointment/procedure and reviews post-appointment protocols and documents accordingly.
- Communicates with parents/patients at the end of each visit to address concerns and answers treatment questions.
- Takes diagnostic x-rays and photos and displays those as needed.
- Takes impressions, pours, and fabricates specified product as needed and completing on-time. (Bleaching trays & study models.)
- Ensure lab cases are pulled for the next day and ready to go.
- Stocks drawers, cleans, and sets up/breaks down patient chairs daily. Must maintain a clean and sanitary workspace.
- Complete treatment plans immediately and give to check-out for financial arrangements and presenting of treatment plans.
- Print/write, “We Care Calls” information at the end of the day and send.
- Follows all administrative procedures and policies to ensure consistent standards.
- Attends and participates in all office meetings, continuing education events and daily huddles.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High school degree or equivalent
Preferred Qualifications:
- Open Dental Software Knowledge
- Itero Scanner
- Dexis Imaging Software
- Intraoral/Extaoral Photos
- Radiography Certification
- CPR Certified
- Bilingual (Spanish)
- Certified Dental Assistant
Working Conditions:
- Dental Office: Fun and friendly environment
- Must be able to sit chairside at least 6 hours/day
- Minimal lifting required for inventory upkeep
- Must be able to use both left and right hand
