Summary
The Parts and Labor Specialist ensures every visitor receives expert guidance on parts, repairs, and vehicle service needs. This role drives customer satisfaction and service revenue by accurately diagnosing problems, estimating costs, and coordinating technician workloads.
Responsibilities

Provide excellent customer service to all customers and handle telephone transactions quickly and courteously

Diagnose problems accurately and clearly describe them on all repair orders

Estimate costs and completion times at point of sale and clearly communicate them to customers

Assign jobs to technicians based on skill level and current resource utilization

Point out sales, specials, new merchandise, and offer additional products that complement customer purchases

Occasionally assist technicians when they are having difficulty performing service work

Operate computer systems for service and parts management
Qualifications & Job Requirements

Background in customer service and motorcycle or automotive parts is highly preferred

Knowledge and experience with servicing Harley-Davidson motorcycles and other products sold by the dealership, or the demonstrated ability to quickly learn them

Experience with Point-of-Sale and computerized inventory systems

Knowledge of motorcycle front end, suspension, and engine components, and commitment to continually develop knowledge

Strong communication skills, comfortable speaking with various customers throughout the day

Ability to lift up to 30 lb. of material and occasionally balance/push a 600-900 lb. motorcycle

Ability to work in a loud environment near moving mechanical parts with potential exposure to battery acid, gasoline, and chemical cleaning materials
