Join our vibrant Angela's Bar & Kitchen team as a Server, where you’ll play a crucial role in delivering exceptional dining experiences! In this dynamic position, you will engage with guests, take orders, and ensure that every meal is served with a smile. Your passion for hospitality and keen attention to detail will help create memorable moments for our guests.
What you’ll do
- Greet and welcome guests with enthusiasm, providing them with menus and information about daily specials.
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using Toast POS system, ensuring all requests are communicated to the kitchen efficiently.
- Deliver food and drinks promptly while maintaining a friendly and professional demeanor.
- Upsell menu items and beverages to enhance the dining experience and increase sales.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining area, including bussing tables and ensuring sanitation standards are met.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely food preparation and service.
- Handle cash transactions accurately, providing guests with their bills and processing payments efficiently.
- Address guest inquiries or concerns promptly, ensuring their satisfaction throughout their visit.
Basic qualifications
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments is essential.
- Strong time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during busy shifts.
- Basic math skills for accurate billing and cash handling.
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and proper food handling techniques.
Preferred qualifications
- Experience in fine dining or upscale restaurant settings is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with Toast POS systems is a plus.
- Culinary experience or kitchen background can enhance your effectiveness in this role.
- Previous host/host experience will be beneficial in managing guest relations effectively.
