Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Welder to join our manufacturing and construction teams. The successful candidate will be responsible for fabricating, assembling, and installing metal components with precision and adherence to safety standards. Responsibilities
- Perform MIG, TIG, FCAW, and pipe welding in accordance with project specifications and industry standards such as ASME codes and NFPA standards.
- Read and interpret construction plans, schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings to ensure accurate fabrication and installation.
- Execute pipe threading, bending, soldering, and pipefitting tasks for various systems including HVAC, plumbing, fire sprinkler systems, and pipelines.
- Use hand tools and power tools safely for cutting, grinding, assembly, and maintenance tasks.
- Measure components accurately using calipers, schematics, and basic math skills to ensure precise fabrication.
- Assemble piping systems according to construction plans while adhering to safety regulations and protocols.
- Conduct routine inspections of welds for quality assurance using visual testing or non-destructive testing methods.
- Maintain compliance with safety regulations by wearing appropriate PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) and following safety protocol adherence during all operations.
- Assist in rigging operations for lifting heavy materials or equipment on construction sites.
- Support maintenance activities by repairing or replacing worn components in existing systems.
Requirements
- Proven experience in welding within manufacturing or construction environments; familiarity with pipeline installation is preferred.
- Proficiency in MIG welding, TIG welding, FCAW (Flux-Cored Arc Welding), pipe welding, and fire sprinkler fitting.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, schematics, blueprints, and construction plans accurately.
- Mechanical knowledge related to pipe threading, tube bending, soldering, and assembly processes.
- Skilled in using hand tools such as calipers, power tools, pipe cutters, and rigging equipment safely.
- Knowledge of ASME codes & standards as well as NFPA standards related to fire protection systems.
- Strong understanding of safety regulations applicable to construction sites including OSHA guidelines.
- Experience working with HVAC systems or plumbing installations is advantageous.
- Basic math skills for measurements and calculations required during fabrication.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities combined with effective communication skills.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in fast-paced environments while maintaining high safety standards.
