DESCRIPTION
Facilitates the orderly operation of the Special Services department at the Port Angeles School District
Lincoln Center. Performs high-level office professional duties for and provides direct assistance to the
Director of Special Services. This position focuses heavily on data analysis, compliance, contract
development, and coordination of critical state and federal programs.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide direct, professional, and operational support to the Director of Special Services.
Grant management and compliance support within the EGMS system (IDEA, TBIP, WIDA).
Conduct critical analytical analysis of Special Education data trends and deliver detailed comparative
reports as requested by the Director.
Serve as the 504 District Coordinator: acts as the primary districtwide contact, and provides high-level
support for general program compliance and the respective software application modules.
Serve as the Contracting Officer Technical Representative: leads contract development, coordinates annual
contract updates, and maintains diligent review of external contract compliance.
Act as the Medicaid Admin Match Districtwide Coordinator: maintain extensive functional knowledge of
and ensure compliance with both State and Federal rules; manage districtwide staff support, monitor
eligibility, and collaborate directly with the State Health Care Authority.
Prepare, complete, and submit critical monthly and/or annual State and/or Federal Reports (including
P223H, Initial Timeline Part C to B, Isolation/Restraint, and Suspension/Expulsion datasets).
Serve as the primary district point of contact for Safety Net operations: overseeing data compilation,
managing final audits/reviews, and executing digital submissions.
Perform additional operational and professional duties as requested by the Special Services Director.
Report to and receive day-to-day work directions from the appointed supervisor.

• Exposed to visual display terminal for prolonged periods; requires both long-term sitting or
standing positions; standard motor abilities including sitting, walking, lifting, carrying lightweight
supplies, kneeling, bending, and speaking clearly on the phone or in public forums.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education and Experience
High school diploma or equivalent, with additional college or business-school coursework
preferred.
Advanced skill proficiency in data analysis, report generation, English grammar, thorough record-
keeping, and fundamental accounting concepts.
