Summary:
The Medical Center Front Office position is responsible for providing exceptional service and administrative duties, in accordance with Company Standards. This role includes assisting in administrative tasks such as answering telephones, greeting patients, and updating and filing medical records.
Responsibilities:
- Provide exceptional customer service by greeting patients, visitors, and vendors in a courteous, professional, and welcoming manner.
- Answer incoming telephone calls, respond to inquiries, and schedule, confirm, or reschedule patient appointments efficiently.
- Maintain accurate patient records by updating, filing, and managing medical documentation in compliance with company policies and confidentiality standards.
- Assist with administrative functions, including processing referrals, verifying patient information, and coordinating communication between patients and clinical staff.
- Support daily office operations by managing front desk activities, handling patient check-in/check-out procedures, and ensuring a clean, organized, and professional reception area.
- Verify patient insurance information, collect required documentation, and ensure accurate registration and billing data is entered into the system.
- Coordinate patient flow by communicating appointment updates, directing patients appropriately, and assisting clinical staff with administrative support as needed.
- Ensure compliance with the company’s drug-free and tobacco/nicotine-free policy.
- All other duties as assigned.
Experience/Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a medical office or clinical setting is required.
- Bilingual in English and Creole (required) .
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced medical environment.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Knowledge of medical terminology and procedures.
- Must be able to legally work in the USA.
Education and Certification(s)/License(s):
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Certification as a Medical Assistant or relevant medical certification preferred.
