Rodgers Health Center (SURHC) and Kansas City University (KCU) are seeking an innovative Pediatrician for a unique Endowed Faculty Appointment. This shared position is designed for a physician-leader who is passionate about delivering high-quality, compassionate care to diverse communities while shaping the next generation of medical professionals.
Role & Responsibilities
As a dual-appointed leader, you will integrate patient-centered clinical care with academic scholarship:
- Clinical Excellence: Deliver evidence-based, developmentally appropriate care at SURHC, a nationally recognized Health Center Quality Leader.
- Academic Leadership: Hold a faculty appointment at KCU-COM, mentoring medical students through clinical teaching, precepting rotations, and contributing to curriculum development.
- Health Equity Advocacy: Lead quality improvement initiatives and community-based programs to improve health outcomes from birth through adolescence.
- Scholarly Activity: Advance the field through research, case reports, or innovation in pediatric education, supported by the resources of an endowed professorship.
Requirements
- Education: DO or MD from an accredited institution.
- Certification: Board Certified/Board Eligible in Pediatrics.
- Licensure: Eligible for Missouri medical licensure.
- Ideal Candidate: Strong clinical judgment with a commitment to trauma-informed care and health equity in underserved populations.
