The primary purpose of the Team Lead role is to provide support to the manufacturing team in achieving its goals. This includes monitoring and escalating any issues to the production supervisor, engaging the team, helping drive continuous improvement within the area, and performing supporting tasks to allow the operators to focus on their main tasks. In this position you will

- Act as a liaison between team members and the Production Supervisor to align resources and support operators efficiently in achieving SQDCIP (Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, Inventory, People) goals.
- Perform audits such as 5S, Safety, Quality, and Standardized Work to ensure compliance with policies and procedures.
- Walk the floor to support the team—addressing questions, resolving issues, and escalating concerns to the Supervisor or support team when necessary.
- Execute predefined non-cyclic work to enable operator productivity, including paperwork, model change preparation, quality checks, material movement, and inventory transaction.
- Participate in workshops focused on continuous improvement and new product development initiatives.
- Lead daily huddles and shift change discussions to align resources and communicate production goals.
- Coordinate with the Supervisor and production planning to execute schedules and assign staff based on skills and experience.
- Identify cross training needs and coordinated with Trainer to execute training plan.
- Create shift summaries/logs to support seamless shift transitions.
- Attend daily management meetings to report area performance and identify root causes of any issues.
- May perform value added work and training as required to keep product moving forward
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Proactively lead and communicate with associates through structured shift huddles and continuous engagement.
- Actively listen and encourage structured problem-solving within the team to resolve issues and drive improvements.
- Possess strong working knowledge of jobs and equipment; able to step in during emergencies and implement immediate countermeasures.
- Coordinate cross-training plans for operators and support ongoing development of team skills.
- Promote a culture of inclusion, open communication, teamwork, and mutual trust.
- Capable of identifying resource needs and aligning staffing to meet production goals efficiently.
- High School Diploma or equivalent, two-year Associates degree in a technical or business-related field preferred.
- Experience and proven capability in performing the majority of jobs in the area you will support or 5 years of similar work experience with a strong mechanical aptitude.
- Ability to motivate others and has a positive attitude.
- Possess the spirit of teamwork and cooperation and the desire to lead.
- Experience and comfort using computers and an ERP system.
- Possess good written and oral communication skills
- Must be able to read electronic and hydraulic schematics and blueprint drawings.
- Soldering and Inspection experience, Certified in J-STD-001 and/or IPC-A-610 preferred
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Attention to detail, dexterity and hand eye coordination.
- Passion for excellence and knowledge of value-added manufacturing.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain FAA certification if required.

Hearing: Adequate to perform job duties in person, over the telephone, and in office setting.
Speaking: Must be able to communicate clearly in person, over the telephone, and on the production floor.
Vision: Visual acuity Eyesight 20/25 with or without correction. Will be required to take and pass a color blindness test for visual inspections. Work on computer for long periods of time.
Other: May require lifting and carrying items weighing up to 20 pounds unassisted, including assisting co-workers when required. Adequate physical ability including sufficient manual dexterity to perform the requisite duties. Requires frequent bending, reaching, repetitive hand movements, and standing, walking, squatting, sitting, and looking at a computer screen for long periods at a time.
