As a Controls Engineer, you’ll tackle evolving technical challenges and contribute to rapidly advancing projects. The Opportunity: We are seeking a motivated Controls Engineer looking to make an impact in a challenging role. This is a unique opportunity within a technologically diverse organization that offers a broad range of independent design opportunities in new product development across multiple industries. The ideal candidate will have a proven background in systems integration, has a solid understanding of mechanical and electrical system interactions, and is experienced at troubleshooting systems at the facility and and circuit board level. Candidates must hold a BSEE, MSEE, or equivalent engineering degree, with a minimum of two years of relevant experience. Responsibilities:
- Drive electrical and software/firmware system requirements and design documentation from the product definition to customer integration.
- Develop point-to-point wiring schematics and electrical/electronic component specifications with oversight of fabrication
- Provide hands-on support for installation, commissioning, and startup along with remote support for existing customers
- Develop and supporting in-house automated product testers along with data acquisition projects for product development and testing.
- Bring systems engineering perspective to shape overall design approach and requirements Experience:
- Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) programming per IEC 61131-3
- Microsoft C# .NET Application Development
- Control system installation, commissioning, and startup
- Motion control systems, including rotary and linear servo motors
Familiar with programming embedded systems (preferred)
Understanding of electronic systems at the circuit board level (preferred)
Hazardous Location Machine Design, including North American as well as European Standards (preferred)
