Position Summary: Maintenance Technician conducts troubleshooting, repairs, and preventive maintenance on production machinery and equipment.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
· Demonstrates advanced mechanical expertise across a range of systems, including conveyor mechanics, electrical, motor control programming, refrigeration, boilers, pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
· Complete unscheduled troubleshooting, diagnosis, and repairs of equipment including, but not limited to, packaging, mixing, and dough processing machinery with minimal guidance.
· Reads and comprehends equipment manuals, schematics, and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
· Possess a strong understanding of part numbers and equipment nomenclature, ensuring accurate identification, classification, and tracking of components and machinery for efficient inventory management and procurement.
· Operate and maintain hand and power tools safely and efficiently – use common hand tools such as hammers, screwdrivers, pliers, wrenches, tape measures, calipers, chisels, punches, and operate power tools including Multimeter, drills, impact drivers, grinders, sanders, heat guns, soldering irons, air compressors, pneumatic tools and welding equipment (TIG, MIG)
· Record all work and daily accomplishments in a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS)
· Comply with OSHA safety and health rules.
Additional Duties & Responsibilities:
· Perform scheduled maintenance repairs of equipment, assist with building & grounds maintenance and maintenance projects during scheduled production down time.
· Guide and lead maintenance helpers.
· Responsible for keeping work area clean and clear of debris
· Utilize SOPs related to the Maintenance department
· Adheres to Hadley Farms policies, mission, and values.
· Support & comply with Hadley Farms Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP)
· Responsible for ensuring they will continually strive within their role to ensure that only safe, quality food that meets all applicable regulatory, industry and company standards and requirements is produced for consumption.
· Responsible for reporting any observed food safety issues to supervisory personnel (SQF Code: 2.1.2.7)
· All other duties as assigned.

· This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing all day.
· The employee must frequently lift and/or move items over 50 pounds.
· Must be able to use a variety of hand and power tools in a safe manner.
· While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed elevated noise levels throughout production facility (hearing protection provided).
· The employee is exposed to a variety of temperatures depending on work location or seasonal weather
Education & Experience:
- Must have an advanced level of knowledge in mechanical related fields to be able to make informed decisions, recognize problems, and seek satisfactory solutions.
- High school diploma or equivalent experience.
- Must have good organizational skills
- Detail oriented work with a high degree of accuracy.
- Able to understand and follow Hadley Farms’ SOP’s and SSOP’s
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
