Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Construction Crew Leader to oversee and coordinate construction projects from start to finish. In this role, you will lead on-site teams, ensure safety compliance, and manage project schedules to deliver high-quality results efficiently. Your expertise in construction management software, blueprint reading, and crew supervision will drive project success while maintaining strict adherence to safety regulations and budget parameters. Duties
- Lead and supervise construction crews, managing daily activities to ensure timely completion of projects
- Interpret technical drawings, schematics, and blueprints to guide on-site work and verify accuracy against project plans
- Coordinate construction schedules using Primavera P6 or other project management tools to optimize workflow and resource allocation
- Conduct regular safety inspections in compliance with OSHA and federal construction safety regulations, promoting a culture of safety on-site
- Review construction drawings and schematics for accuracy; manage change orders and contract modifications as needed
- Oversee quality control processes, ensuring work meets industry standards and client specifications
- Manage site logistics, including material delivery, equipment operation, and crew scheduling to maximize productivity
Qualifications
- Proven experience in construction site management with a strong background in commercial or heavy civil projects
- Demonstrated ability to manage teams effectively, including supervising multiple crews and managing subcontractors
- Proficiency with construction management software such as ProCore, Bluebeam, Primavera P6, HeavyBid, or similar platforms
- Strong knowledge of construction regulations, safety standards (OSHA), and quality assurance protocols
- Skilled in blueprint reading, interpreting technical drawings, schematics, and construction schematics
- Experience with project scheduling, budgeting, and cost estimating within a construction environment
- Excellent communication skills for managerial coordination, client interactions, and team leadership
- Familiarity with managing contracts and overseeing compliance with federal construction safety regulations
- Ability to operate relevant tools such as ohmmeters for electrical testing or other specialized equipment as needed
