Duties
- Prepare and assemble sushi dishes with precision, ensuring high-quality presentation and taste
- Assist in the preparation of ingredients, including slicing fish, vegetables, and other sushi components using proper knife skills
- Maintain strict food safety and hygiene standards throughout all food handling and preparation processes
- Support the kitchen team with meal preparation, cooking, and plating for dine-in or catering services
- Help manage inventory levels of ingredients and ensure proper storage practices are followed
- Contribute to menu planning by suggesting innovative sushi options and maintaining consistency in recipes
- Assist with food service duties such as plating, serving customers, and maintaining cleanliness in the dining area
Qualifications
- Experience in dietary departments or dietary aide roles is a plus, demonstrating familiarity with food handling standards
