Responsibilities
- Perform thorough cleaning of floors using appropriate methods such as sweeping, mopping, buffing, and carpet cleaning to maintain high standards of cleanliness.
- Operate floor care equipment including buffers, polishers, extractors, and vacuums safely and effectively.
- Conduct routine janitorial duties such as trash removal, restroom sanitation, dusting, and surface cleaning to ensure a pristine environment.
- Apply environmentally friendly cleaning products and techniques to promote sustainability and safety within the facility.
- Inspect assigned areas regularly to identify maintenance needs or potential hazards, addressing them promptly or escalating as necessary.
- Follow detailed cleaning schedules and procedures to ensure consistent quality across all assigned spaces.
- Maintain proper documentation of cleaning activities and report any issues or damages to supervisory staff.
Skills
- Proven experience in commercial cleaning or custodial services with a focus on floor care and environmental services.
- Skilled in carpet cleaning techniques, buffing, stripping, waxing, and other floor maintenance procedures.
- Ability to operate various janitorial equipment safely and efficiently.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Knowledge of health and safety standards related to cleaning chemicals and equipment use.
- Good communication skills for coordinating with team members and reporting issues clearly.
- A proactive attitude with a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness in fast-paced environments.
