Diesel Technician – Heavy Duty TrucksEDC Transportation LLC | El Paso, TX
EDC Transportation LLC is seeking experienced Diesel Technicians to join our growing in-house maintenance team.
We operate a fleet of approximately 150 trucks and are building a shop culture focused on quality repairs, teamwork, and minimizing downtime.
We are looking for technicians who take pride in their work, can properly diagnose issues, and understand that doing the job right the first time matters.
Pay:
$18-$25 per hour depending on experience
Responsibilities:
- Diagnose and repair heavy-duty diesel trucks
- Perform preventive maintenance services
- Engine, aftertreatment, cooling system, electrical, and air system repairs
- Troubleshoot check engine lights and fault codes
- Perform quality repairs while maintaining proper documentation
- Work closely with shop leadership to keep equipment operating safely and efficiently
Preferred Experience:
- Volvo D13 engines
- Cummins X15 engines
- PTT, INSITE, and OEM diagnostic software
- Electrical diagnostics
- Suspension and brake systems
- Aftertreatment systems (DPF, DEF, SCR)
Qualifications:
- Previous heavy-duty diesel experience required
- Own basic hand tools
- Strong troubleshooting abilities
- Positive attitude and team mentality
- CDL is a plus but not required
