American Traveler is seeking an experienced Surgical Technologist with multi-service scrub and circulate proficiency — including robotics, neurosurgery, and thoracic — for a day/evening rotating OR position at a major academic cancer hospital in Ohio.

Hospital-based OR setting at a large academic cancer center
-
Day/evening rotating schedule consisting of a combination of 8-, 10-, and 12-hour shifts totaling 40 hours per week, with shifts generally running 6:30 AM–5:00 PM or 6:30 AM–7:00 PM

Call and weekend coverage required as needed

Travelers will scrub a wide variety of services including Surgical Oncology, Thoracic, Colorectal, Urology, GYN Oncology, Head & Neck/ENT, Neuro, Ortho, Plastics/Reconstructive, and Robotics

Epic EMR experience required

Teaching hospital experience preferred

Trauma Level I and Level II experience preferred

Minimum of 3 years of Surgical Technologist experience required — hard stop

Both scrub and circulate experience required

Proficiency in robotic surgery, neurosurgery, thoracic surgery, and ENT procedures required

Experience across multiple surgical services required, including ENT/Plastics (flaps/microvascular), endoscopic procedures (bronch/EGD/EBUS), Neuro (craniotomy/EEA/skull base), Thoracic, and Robotics

BLS certification required

Epic EMR experience required

License required if applicable — must be active at time of consideration

2 professional references required: at least 1 must be from a manager, director, or formal leadership role (supervisor); a Charge RN is acceptable as the second reference; co-worker references are not accepted

Education must be from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program

Any requested time off (RTO) must be submitted at the time of consideration and will be built into the contract, limited to 7 days or less

Former employees of the facility are eligible for a travel assignment after a minimum 6-month separation; current employees of any Ohio State University hospital location are ineligible

Ohio state fingerprinting is required and must be completed promptly after contract signing — candidates located outside Ohio but within driving distance must travel to an Ohio fingerprinting location; candidates located far from Ohio will receive a mailed fingerprinting packet that must be completed urgently upon receipt
