Functional Medicine Provider (Nurse Practitioner)
Wichita, Kansas
A growing functional and integrative medicine practice in Wichita is seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner with demonstrated experience in functional medicine, hormone optimization, metabolic health, or wellness-focused patient care.
This is not a traditional primary care position. Candidates without prior exposure to functional medicine, hormone optimization, wellness medicine, or medical weight loss are unlikely to be a fit for this role.
We are seeking a provider who is already familiar with wellness-based medicine and can contribute with minimal training.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive patient evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans
- Manage patients participating in hormone optimization and medical weight loss programs
- Interpret laboratory testing and develop root-cause treatment strategies
- Educate patients on nutrition, lifestyle modification, supplementation, and preventive wellness
- Build long-term patient relationships in a personalized care environment
- Collaborate with a growing functional medicine team

- Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT)

- Lifestyle medicine and supplementation
Required Qualifications
- Active Nurse Practitioner license
- Minimum of 2 years of Nurse Practitioner experience
- Experience prescribing and managing treatment plans as a practicing Nurse Practitioner
- Professional experience in one or more of the following:
- Functional medicine
- Hormone optimization
- Medical weight loss
- Wellness medicine
- Longevity medicine
- Integrative medicine
- Experience counseling patients on nutrition, exercise, lifestyle modification, and wellness strategies
- Strong patient communication and patient education skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Preferred Qualifications
- Functional medicine training or certification
- Experience prescribing GLP-1 medications for weight loss
- Experience managing hormone replacement therapy programs
- Experience working in a wellness-focused or cash-pay practice
- Entrepreneurial mindset and interest in helping grow a wellness-focused practice
Compensation
Compensation is dependent on experience, functional medicine background, and relevant wellness-focused clinical expertise.
