Overview
Hoffman Manufacturing, Inc. is looking for a dependable and hardworking Shop Helper to join our team. This position supports a variety of departments throughout our sheet metal fabrication shop. No two days are exactly the same, and you'll have the opportunity to learn different aspects of the manufacturing process while working alongside experienced team members.
Responsibilities
- Assist in various departments throughout the shop as needed.
- Operate or assist with press brakes, machinery, and other shop equipment.
- Help with grinding, deburring, and finishing metal parts.
- Assist in the paint department with preparation and hanging parts.
- Load, unload, and move materials throughout the shop.
- Keep work areas clean, organized, and safe.
- Follow all company safety procedures and guidelines.
- Help with other shop duties as assigned.
Experience
- Previous manufacturing or shop experience preferred, but willing to train the right candidate.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Willingness to learn and work in multiple departments.
- Good attention to detail and strong work ethic.
- Dependable, punctual, and able to work well with others.
