Summary/Objective The Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing all manufacturing and support equipment within the production facility. This includes performing, documenting, and scheduling preventive and corrective maintenance tasks in accordance with established procedures and equipment manuals. The technician also manages and monitors spare parts inventory to ensure minimal downtime.
This role is critical to optimizing equipment performance and supporting overall production efficiency. The Maintenance Technician may provide informal mentoring or guidance to other team members and may oversee assigned work when necessary.
Essential Functions
Ongoing
· Coordinate with production teams to schedule and complete all preventive maintenance tasks on time.
· Perform and document preventive maintenance on all production equipment and facility systems according to established standards.
· Respond quickly to equipment failures, performing emergency repairs to minimize downtime and production disruption.
· Follow all manufacturer standards and guidelines for equipment operation, maintenance, and safety.
· Monitor equipment for potential shutdowns or process interruptions and develop timely action plans to resolve issues efficiently.
· Maintain equipment reliability within target performance levels and ensure all maintenance activities are accurately logged in the tracking system.
· Plan, procure, and manage spare parts inventory to minimize downtime while maintaining cost-effective inventory control.
· Enforce safety standards and ensure all technicians adhere to proper safety procedures and work practices.
· Keep all work areas, including power cabinets, tools, and support systems, clean and organized.
· Train machine operators on setup procedures, general operations, and basic maintenance techniques.
· Demonstrate a strong sense of urgency and ownership when responding to equipment issues impacting production.
· Actively participate as a core member of the production facility team, contributing to overall operational success.
Job Competencies
· Assist in the development, implementation, and oversight of an internal inventory management system to support production operations.
· Support the installation, setup, and upgrading of equipment throughout the facility.
· Collaborate closely with the Engineering team on facility improvement projects and other technical initiatives.
· Maintain clear, timely, and effective communication with the Plant Manager and Engineering team regarding maintenance activities and project status.
· Participate in additional maintenance-related projects and tasks as assigned to support overall plant operations.

The employee is often required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl, and may occasionally need to sit, climb, or balance.
The employee must regularly lift and/or move objects up to ten pounds, frequently lift and/or move objects up to fifty pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move objects exceeding one hundred pounds.
Specific vision abilities required for this position include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
Work Environment
This position operates in a manufacturing and warehouse environment, with occasional exposure to outdoor conditions during the workday. The noise level is typically moderate to high, and appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) will be provided and always required.

Qualifications Required:
Associate degree (AA) and/or relevant industry certification in an electro-mechanical discipline; equivalent hands-on experience may be considered in lieu of formal education.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in equipment repair within extrusion, plastic molding, automotive, or industrial environments.
- Proven ability to interpret mechanical and electrical schematics and effectively troubleshoot equipment using those schematics.
- Basic computer skills required.
- Must successfully pass a background check.
- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
- Ability to read and interpret measurements using a tape measure and caliper.
- Ability to follow and comply with all company policies and procedures as outlined in the employee manual.
- Strong time management skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Proactive in identifying and recommending process improvements or solutions.
Pay: $31.00 - $34.00 per hour
