Assess patients' physical condition and age-specific needs to ensure appropriate care.
Provide clear patient instructions to promote cooperation and successful imaging outcomes.
Verify patient identity, obtain and document accurate clinical history, and ensure all required information is complete.
Position patients and imaging equipment while adjusting technical factors to produce high-quality diagnostic images.
Evaluate images for technical quality, proper patient identification, accurate annotation, and complete anatomical visualization.
Apply MRI safety principles to protect patients, staff, and visitors.
Perform and participate in quality control procedures in accordance with departmental standards.
Demonstrate proficiency in administering contrast media, including the use of power injectors when appropriate.
Perform venipuncture and assess IV access for contrast administration as prescribed by a licensed provider.
Respond appropriately to adverse contrast reactions and other medical emergencies, providing immediate patient care as needed.
Follow infection prevention protocols, including standard precautions and appropriate use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
Assist in the training, orientation, and supervision of student technologists and newly hired staff.
Utilize radiology information systems, PACS, and other departmental technology accurately and efficiently.
Maintain a safe environment for patients, visitors, and team members.
Maintain reliable attendance in accordance with organizational policies and applicable federal, state, and local regulations.
Adhere to all organizational policies, procedures, and compliance standards.
