Responsibilities:
-Safety examination of truck prior to working for the day
-Must be able to navigate your way to the job site (address will be provided the night before or day of if working at night)
-Keeping up with the logging tickets (record time you get to the job, plant your hauling from and material hauled etc.)
-Check oil levels, set brakes, and make sure tires have the proper amount of air in them on a regular basis.
Drivers are given directions to where they are working the night before or the day of if working that night . The trucks are parked in House Springs, Mo. You will drive to the parking location in the morning or evening and take the truck from there to the job (you will leave your personal vehicle at the truck parking location which has a gate that stays locked) and return the dump truck to the shop at the end of the shift. The trucks stay local and most days consist of 8-10 hours. All the jobs are local, we do not travel out of Missouri. Saturdays are seldom, however we do pay time and a half for working Saturdays as well as pay an 8 hour minimum.
Experience:
-Must be able to drive a manual truck.
-Must have Class B (or A) Commercial Drivers License.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Proven experience operating dump trucks or similar heavy equipment
- Knowledge of route planning and navigation skills
- Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical tasks as required
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
