Duties
- Prepare a variety of non-alcoholic beverages, including coffee, tea, smoothies, and specialty drinks, ensuring quality and consistency.
- Operate POS systems to process sales transactions accurately and efficiently.
- Provide outstanding customer service by greeting guests warmly, taking orders promptly, and answering questions about menu items.
- Maintain cleanliness of the café area, including food handling, beverage stations, and seating areas, adhering to food safety standards.
- Manage cash handling responsibilities with precision, including processing cash transactions and giving correct change.
- Assist with food preparation tasks as needed, ensuring all food safety protocols are followed diligently.
- Support team members during busy periods by managing time effectively and multitasking seamlessly to keep service flowing smoothly.
Qualifications
- Previous barista experience or food service experience is highly preferred.
- Familiarity with POS system is a plus.
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly, energetic attitude.
- Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math calculations, and transaction processing.
- Knowledge of food safety practices and proper food handling procedures.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks involved in food preparation and cleaning.
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently during busy shifts.
