Seamstress / Sewing Assistant
Hermione Elma Atelier is seeking an experienced seamstress to join our growing couture fashion studio.
We are looking for someone who is passionate about garment construction, pays close attention to detail, and takes pride in producing high-quality work. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced seamstress looking for a long-term position in a professional, creative environment.
Please apply only if you have professional sewing experience. Fashion school alone does not qualify as professional experience.
Responsibilities
- Sew garments from start to finish.
- Construct garments using commercial and industrial sewing machines.
- Follow patterns, sewing instructions, and production timelines.
- Install zippers, linings, boning, cups, horsehair braid, and other garment components.
- Perform alterations and garment adjustments when needed.
- Press and finish garments to a professional standard.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
- Work independently while maintaining high-quality craftsmanship.
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of professional sewing experience.
- Experience using industrial sewing machines.
- Strong knowledge of garment construction and sewing techniques.
- Ability to read patterns and follow instructions accurately.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Reliable, punctual, and organized.
- Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
Schedule
- Part-time
- Monday, Wednesday, and Friday
- 10:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Pay
$15.00–$18.00 per hour, based on experience.
We are looking for someone who is dependable, takes pride in their work, and is interested in growing with our team long-term.
Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour
