American Traveler is seeking a Radiation Therapist with ARRT(T) certification and a minimum of 2 years of experience for a hospital-based Radiation Oncology position in Santa Cruz, CA.

Hospital-based Radiation Oncology department

Day shift schedule, 5x8 hours; shift start time may vary between 6:00 AM and 12:00 PM — flexibility required

13-week contract
-
Performs both routine and specialized radiation treatments including IMRT, SRS, external beam therapy, respiratory gating, and prostate cancer with seeds/fiducials
-
Treats a range of oncology cases including benign brain tumors, heterotopic bone, and prophylactic treatments
-
Equipment includes Elekta Infinity linear accelerator and Vision RT
-
Preferred experience with Elekta, Mosaiq, and AlignRT
-
Active CA state Radiation Therapist license required (license required if applicable)

Current ARRT(T) and BLS certifications required; certifications must be from AHA or ARC
-
Minimum of 2 years of radiation therapy experience required

Prior travel experience required

Proficiency in radiation safety practices

2 supervisor references obtained within the past year required for consideration

Delivers accurate and safe radiation treatments per physician-developed treatment plans, working independently with sound clinical judgment

Responsible for patient assessment, monitoring, and communication with patients, families, and the care team

May orient other staff to the department as needed

Candidates living within 50 miles of the facility are eligible to apply at a local rate

Former travelers are eligible to return with no required separation time; former manager's name will be needed

RTO is limited to 7 days per contract; only 1 major holiday may be requested off per contract
-
Major holidays covered include New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, and Christmas

7-year work history verification is required for all candidates

All compliance documents must be submitted 10 days prior to the start date
