Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and energetic individual to join our team as a hybrid Beach Attendant / Golf Cart Runner & Washer. This role is vital to ensuring a seamless experience for our customers, combining customer service on the beach with the upkeep and transportation of our luxury gas-powered golf carts. Key Responsibilities
Beach Attendant Duties
- Guest Assistance: Greet and assist guests, answer questions about beach facilities, activities, and local attractions.
- Safety and Security: Monitor beach areas to ensure guest safety and respond promptly to emergencies or incidents.
- Cleanliness: Maintain the cleanliness of the beach area, including removing litter and keeping beach equipment in top condition.
- Beach Equipment & Service: Set up and manage beach chairs, umbrellas, and other equipment, ensuring proper arrangement and availability for guests.
- Bonfire Services: Set up and manage beach bonfires, including digging bonfire holes, providing firewood, arranging chairs, making S’mores kits, and catering to guests throughout their bonfire experience.
- Beach Asset Maintenance: Regular maintenance and cleaning of beach vehicles and trailers.
- Customer Service: Address guest concerns and complaints professionally, working to resolve issues in a timely and courteous manner.
- Collaboration: Work closely with other staff members and management to ensure smooth operations and assist with special events as needed.
Golf Cart Runner & Washer Duties
- Cart Transportation: Safely deliver and pick up golf carts to and from customer locations or rental areas.
- Cart Washing: Thoroughly clean golf carts to ensure they meet cleanliness standards before being rented out.
- Inspections: Perform visual inspections of carts for damage, tire pressure, gas levels, and other operational checks.
- Maintenance Coordination: Report any mechanical issues to the maintenance team promptly.
Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years old with a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work flexible schedules, including weekends and holidays.
- Comfortable with light physical labor, including lifting up to 50 lbs and walking or standing for extended periods.
Preferred Skills
- Previous experience in a customer service, hospitality, or maintenance role.
- Familiarity with golf carts or small motorized vehicles.
- Familiarity with driving trucks and trailers
- Knowledge of Port Aransas and the surrounding area is a plus.
