The kitchen at Cloud City Coffee in Maple Leaf is looking for a Full Time Baker to join our team. About us: we are a 20 year old institution in our neighborhood, drawing in a variety of customers. We have a little of everything and as such have evolved over the years into a full scratch kitchen.
This position would be good for early risers with baking experience, however we would definitely consider training the right candidate with other kitchen experience. We are in need of someone with the skill set to efficiently produce many different baked goods, including: muffins, scones, baked donuts, quick breads, and pies. While we do have our standards that we make daily, you do get to have some creative influence on our rotating flavors. You will need to be able to lift up to 50lbs (items like bags of flour and sugar come in 50lb bags).
We believe in work/life balance! You will have a set schedule that you can count on (minus helping cover occasional shifts for people going on vacation and such). We can be bit flexible on the days, but we absolutely need you on Sundays and Mondays. The shift runs from 3am to 10am.
We will start you at $2/hour plus tips (typically $4-7/hr). Generous employee discount including free coffee/tea on and off shift and free meals on shift. You also get to have a decent amount of creative influence on flavors and such.
