FLEX Unarmed Security Officer – Morning Shift – San Diego
Position Summary
Allstate Security is seeking dependable and professional Unarmed Rover Security Officers to join our team. We are looking for officers who are reliable, flexible, and ready to respond when coverage is needed across multiple client locations throughout the San Diego area. This position is ideal for individuals who can be counted on to accept assignments, adapt to different work environments, and maintain the highest level of professionalism. As a Rover Officer, you will provide security coverage at various client sites by conducting patrols, monitoring entrances and exits, deterring unauthorized activity, responding to incidents, and enforcing client policies. Officers must maintain strong situational awareness, exercise sound judgment, and deliver outstanding customer service while representing Allstate Security. Successful candidates are dependable, punctual, and prepared to work assigned shifts as operational needs arise.

Provide a visible, unarmed deterrent at entrances and other designated areas.

Monitor and control access to the facility, ensuring only authorized individuals are permitted entry.

Conduct interior and exterior patrols of the premises, including product storage areas, employee entrances, and customer waiting areas.

Observe and report suspicious activity, security threats, or non-compliance with company or state regulations.

Prevent and respond to incidents involving theft, trespassing, loitering, or disorderly conduct.

Monitor security cameras, alarms, and access control systems as assigned.

Respond to emergencies such as medical incidents, fires, or threats to safety; contact law enforcement or EMS as required.

Complete detailed and accurate incident reports, daily activity logs, and shift hand-off notes.

Enforce assigned regulations, safety policies, and company code of conduct with professionalism and consistency.
Qualifications and Requirements

Valid BSIS Guard Card (California or equivalent in other states).

High school diploma or GED required; additional training or military/law enforcement experience preferred.

1+ years of unarmed security experience in retail, commercial, or public-facing environments preferred.

Clean criminal background and ability to pass federal and state background checks.

Strong observational skills, situational awareness, and ability to remain calm under pressure.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Ability to walk/stand for extended periods and work flexible shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Must be able to adhere to state compliance standards and confidentiality protocols.
Physical Requirements

Ability to stand and walk for long periods throughout the shift.

Ability to lift up to 25 lbs occasionally.

Manual dexterity for operating radios and other assigned equipment.
