Sky Music Company maintains a strict one-instrument teaching policy, meaning each instructor is permitted to teach only their primary instrument.
About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Guitarist to fill the role of Guitar Instructor. Candidates must be well versed in proper Guitar playing techniques, music theory, aural skills, and must have reliable transportation as Sky Music is an in-home lesson service meaning our teachers travel between student homes (gas stipends are provided).
Experience is valued highly and preferred but we are willing to train the right candidate!

Qualifications We Value:
- Musical Proficiency: A minimum of 10 years of guitar playing experience is required, showcasing your dedication and passion for the instrument.
- Educational Background: Formal music theory and aural skills courses completion required, we equally value practical experience and a genuine commitment to ongoing learning. You should be pursing or already hold a degree with a specialty in piano.
- Residency: Long-term residence in Chicagoland is a must, aligning with our vision of building lasting connections within the community.
- Reliable Transportation: This is an important part as we drive to students homes to teach.
