Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and highly skilled Hotel Lead Engineer to oversee the maintenance, safety, and operational efficiency of our hotel’s mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and industrial systems. In this pivotal leadership role, you will manage a team of facilities maintenance professionals, ensuring all systems function seamlessly to deliver an exceptional guest experience. Your expertise in engineering troubleshooting, facilities management, and safety regulations will drive continuous improvement and uphold the highest standards of quality and safety across our property.
Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise the facilities maintenance team to ensure timely repairs and preventive maintenance of all mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems.
- Oversee the operation and repair of complex systems including programmable logic controllers (PLCs), HVAC units, high voltage and low voltage electrical systems, and schematics interpretation.
- Manage facilities maintenance activities using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) to track work orders, inventory, and maintenance schedules.
- Conduct troubleshooting and repair of mechanical systems such as HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning), plumbing systems, electrical wiring—including high voltage—and industrial machinery.
- Develop and implement safety protocols in compliance with safety regulations to ensure a safe environment for staff and guests.
- Coordinate projects related to facilities upgrades or renovations with contractors and internal teams while managing budgets and timelines.
- Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, system inspections, schematics, and safety compliance documentation.
Requirements
- Proven management experience supervising facilities maintenance teams within a hospitality or manufacturing environment.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience repairing HVAC systems, plumbing networks, electrical systems—including high voltage—and industrial equipment.
- Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), schematics reading, Ohmmeters, and troubleshooting engineering issues effectively.
- Knowledge of safety regulations related to electrical work (including high voltage/low voltage), industrial maintenance standards, and facility safety practices.
- Experience managing facilities using CMMS platforms for work order tracking and inventory control.
- Excellent communication skills in English to coordinate with team members, contractors, and vendors clearly and professionally.
- Ability to interpret schematics for mechanical and electrical systems accurately; experience with project management is a plus.
