We are currently seeking a part time 1st Shift skilled Welder to join our team at our facility located Sussex WI. You will play a critical role in ensuring that product components are maintaining quality standards. The Welder will perform the daily set-up and fabricate/weld (MIG and/or TIG) weldments in a variety of materials including carbon steel, stainless steel and aluminum, utilizing blue prints for set-up and inspection of parts to ensure customer specifications are met.
Responsibilities
- Previous MIG and TIG welding experience.
- Welds components with welding equipment as specified by procedures, layouts, blueprints, diagrams, work orders, or oral instructions
- Set-up, lay-out, tack-up and weld sheet metal in constructing customer parts and components
- Tack and/or weld metal parts together using MIG and/or TIG welding
- Measures dimensions, using measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, and dial indicators, or check fixture
- Visually examines and measures welds using weld gauges to determine weld acceptability based on specified tolerances
- Select and use a variety of metal finishing tools (grinders, abrasives, etc.)
- Maintains equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer's instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions; calling for repairs
- Documents actions by accurately completing production and quality logs
- Ability to read Weld symbols, blueprints and perform set-ups · Work individually without constant supervision as well as able to work with the team
