Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager with hands-on knowledge across security, fire, AV, and building systems. This role leads projects from kickoff through closeout — managing scope, schedule, budget, field teams, vendors, and client relationships.
This is a full-time, in-office position based in Richardson, TX.
Travel to surrounding citities in Texas is required as client needed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead end-to-end project execution across: Video Surveillance (CCTV), Access Control, Intrusion Detection, Fire Alarm Systems, Audio/Visual Systems, Structured Cabling & Building Solutions
- Develop and manage project schedules, budgets, and forecasts
- Own project financials including billing, cost tracking, and margin management
- Project Planning & Execution: Develop detailed project plans, timelines, and budgets. Coordinate internal resources and subcontractors to ensure project delivery. Oversee all phases of project lifecycle from kickoff to final commissioning.
- Technical Oversight: Review and interpret system design drawings and specifications. Ensure compliance with industry codes, manufacturer guidelines, and company standards. Provide technical guidance on installation and configuration of access control and intrusion systems (e.g., Lenel, HID, Honeywell, Bosch, DSC, etc.).
- Team Leadership: Supervise installation technicians and subcontractors. Conduct regular project meetings and site walks. Resolve field issues and escalate concerns as needed.
- Client Management: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients during project execution. Communicate project status, changes, and risks to clients and stakeholders. Ensure client satisfaction and support post-installation handover and training.
- Documentation & Compliance: Maintain accurate project documentation, including RFIs, submittals, change orders, and closeout packages. Ensure all safety, quality, and compliance standards are met on job sites.
Required:
- 3+ years of experience as a Project Manager in the physical security, low-voltage, fire, AV, or integrated building systems industry (REQUIRED)
- Proven experience managing multi-system integration projects (security, fire, AV, building systems)
- Strong knowledge of installation standards and code compliance (NFPA, NEC, low-voltage)
- Experience managing project budgets, POs, and financial performance
- Ability to lead field teams and subcontractors
Preferred:
- PMP, PSP, or equivalent certification.
- Manufacturer certifications (e.g., Lenel, Genetec, Bosch, DSC).
- OSHA 10 or equivalent safety training.
Work Environment:
- Primarily field-based with regular travel to job sites.
- May require occasional evening or weekend work depending on project demands.
- Ability to lift and carry equipment (up to 50 lbs) and navigate construction sites.
