JOB OPPORTUNITY
Mig welder – Steel Fabricator
POSITION SUMMARY
Circle Star Metal Works, located in Conroe, Texas is a light to medium structural steel job shop fabrication facility. We have a wide range of steel fabricated products with a wide customer base which is expanding daily. We are also seeking qualified and motivated professionals to be a part of our team, and growing business opportunities.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Fabricate steel structures and components based on specifications using
cutting, welding, and grinding equipment in fabrication
- Ensure that all fabricated steel structures are built to specifications and safety standards
REQUIREMENTS
- High School Diploma or GED
- Four (4) or more years of MIG welding experience
- Experience with steel fabrication and structural welding
- Strong attention to details and safety practices
- Must be able to pass structural weld test
- Drivers Licenses
KNOWLEDGE, SKILL & ABILITIES
- In-depth knowledge of MIG welding techniques
- Working knowledge of correct welding equipment, consumables, materials, and gases required for each job
- Ability to perform welds on a variety of metal-steel materials
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and technical documents
- Commitment to producing high quality work
- Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND REQUIREMENTS
- Clean, prepare, and inspect surfaces to be welded, ensure proper fit-up and alignment of components
- Monitor and adjust welding parameters as needed to achieve desired results while ensuring proper penetration, fusion, and appearance
- Collaborate with other team members, including fabricators and quality control personnel, to achieve project goals and maintain consistent product quality Perform weld post – processing task, such as grinding, polishing, and finishing, to meet aesthetic and functional requirements
- Operate machinery and tools related to welding and fabrication
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment
- Observe all company and OSHA safety rules, policies, procedures, report unsafe conditions to supervisors and use Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) as required
- Perform other job duties as assigned
- Ability to lift up to 50 -100 lbs.
JOB TYPE
- Full Time – 7 am to 5 pm Monday thru Friday
JOB PAY
- $20.00 - $22.00 per hour based on skills and experience
