Position Overview
We’re looking for a knowledgeable and customer-focused Sales Associate to join our team. This role is ideal for someone who has real kitchen experience and enjoys sharing that knowledge to help customers solve problems, improve their cooking, and create inviting table settings.
Full-time preferred, but part-time availability at 30 hours a week will be considered for the right candidate.
Candidates can expect to be on their feet for a majority of their shift.
What You’ll Do
- Guide customers to the right cookware, knives, appliances, and tools based on their cooking goals
- Troubleshoot recipe challenges and recommend practical product solutions
- Help customers build cohesive, stylish table settings with thoughtful suggestions on color, material, and pairing
- Stay informed about product features and brand differences
- Maintain an inviting, well-merchandised sales floor
- Process transactions accurately and efficiently
- Contribute to a welcoming, team-oriented store environment
What We’re Looking For
- Hands-on cooking experience (home cooks with strong skills welcome; culinary or kitchen experience a plus)
- Comfort explaining product differences and making confident recommendations
- Strong communication skills and a natural ability to connect with customers
- An eye for design and coordination when assisting with tabletop selections
- Dependable, professional, and team-oriented
- Basic comfort with POS systems and handling transactions
- Management experience ties well into this position
Compensation & Benefits
- Starting at $17.50/hour, with much higher pay for relevant experience
- Paid Time Off accrued at 3.85% of hours worked (equivalent to approximately two weeks annually for full-time team members)

Application Question(s):
- We primarily sell cookware, flatware, stoneware, knives, gadgets, kitchen electrics, and much more for the kitchen. How would your past experience with cooking or retail make you a good candidate for this position?
- We only schedule full day shifts Monday-Saturday starting at 10am (9:30 for opening and days in December) and closing at 6pm. Closers can expect to leave by 6:15pm. We do not schedule half day shifts. Are you able to work Saturdays plus 2-4 additional 7.5 - 8 hour shifts? Please let us know if there are any days you would be unavailable on a weekly basis.
