Job Summary
Out-of-Town Pickup & Delivery Driver
We are a wheel remanufacturing and repair facility seeking a dependable and motivated Pickup & Delivery Driver to join our team. This position involves traveling to body shops and dealerships to pick up and deliver wheels for repair while providing excellent customer service.
This is a four-day-per-week position with early morning start times (approximately 6:00 AM). Routes include Midland/Odessa and Lamesa, as well as Amarillo and Plainview. Plainview is serviced along the Amarillo route, and Lamesa is serviced along the Midland/Odessa route.
Job Responsibilities:
- Safely operate a company-provided Ram Cargo Van for scheduled pickup and delivery routes.
- Pick up and deliver wheels to body shops and dealerships.
- Communicate with customers to determine which wheels require pickup.
- Accurately record repair order numbers, vehicle information, and other necessary details for billing purposes.
- Load and unload wheels while adhering to safe lifting practices.
- Plan and execute efficient travel routes to maximize productivity.
- Provide professional and courteous customer service at all times.
- Perform basic upkeep of the company vehicle, including washing the van, monitoring oil change intervals, and fueling with the company-provided fuel card.
- Maintain organization and accuracy when handling customer information and inventory.
Requirements:
- Valid driver’s license.
- Clean driving record.
- Ability to safely lift and handle automotive wheels.
- Strong communication, organizational, and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and responsibly while traveling.
- Dependable attendance and punctuality are required.
Preferred Qualifications (Not Required):
- Previous delivery, route driving, or transportation experience.
- Experience interacting with customers in a professional setting.
- Familiarity with planning efficient delivery routes.
