We are a growing private law firm seeking a compassionate and highly organized customer support representative to support clients applying for SSDI and SSI benefits. This position serves as the main point of contact between clients, attorneys, and the Social Security Administration (SSA). The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys helping people, and can manage a high-volume caseload while keeping cases moving efficiently through the disability process.
Work Schedule & Location: This is an in-office position based in Lehi, Utah. Team members work Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Consistent in-person collaboration is important for training, teamwork, and providing the highest level of support to our clients.
Key Responsibilities
Client Support & Communication
- Serve as the primary contact for a large caseload of clients
- Conduct welcome calls and provide regular case status updates
- Answer client questions with professionalism, patience, and empathy
Medical Record Development
- Request, track, and review medical records from healthcare providers
- Ensure files contain strong medical evidence to support disability claims
Case Filing & Documentation
- Submit initial SSDI/SSI applications and appeals through SSA’s online systems
- Maintain organized digital case files and detailed case notes
Attorney & Hearing Support
- Prepare case summaries for attorney review
- Assist with drafting pre-hearing briefs and organizing hearing files
SSA & Agency Coordination
- Communicate with SSA field offices, Disability Determination Services (DDS), and the Office of Hearings Operations (OHO)
- Follow up on case delays and monitor important deadlines
Qualifications & Skills
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage 200+ active cases
- Excellent phone and written communication skills
- Ability to remain calm and professional when assisting clients facing financial or medical hardship
- Comfortable learning and using case management software (Filevine, Lead Docket, etc.)
- Experience working with medical records, legal files, or government systems is a plus
Education:
High school diploma required. Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in social work, legal studies, healthcare administration, or a related field preferred.
Preferred Experience (Not Required)
- Social Security Disability, personal injury, or legal case management
- Paralegal or legal assistant experience
- Medical records or healthcare administration background
