About the Role
As a Precision Metal Finisher, you will play a vital role in the final stages of manufacturing high-stakes components for the aerospace and defense sectors. You will ensure that every part meets rigorous quality standards by performing expert deburring, polishing, and surface treatment, directly impacting the integrity of flight-critical hardware.
Responsibilities-
Refine CNC-machined components by removing burrs, sharp edges, and surface imperfections using pneumatic tools, hand files, and specialized abrasives.

Execute precise surface finishing techniques to achieve exact customer specifications and aesthetic requirements.

Perform critical part marking using laser, chemical etching, or mechanical stamping methods to ensure full traceability.

Conduct thorough visual inspections to verify that all work adheres to stringent workmanship and quality standards.

Operate industrial cleaning equipment, including ultrasonic cleaners and wash tubs, to maintain a pristine, FOD-free environment.

Install threaded inserts and pins according to technical assembly drawings.

Utilize digital measurement tools to confirm dimensional accuracy and compliance with project blueprints.
Qualifications-
High School Diploma or GED equivalent.

2+ years of experience in a precision manufacturing environment, specifically with metal deburring and polishing.

Proven ability to interpret complex technical drawings and specifications.

Strong manual dexterity and experience operating hand-held power tools.

Ability to maintain 20/20 near visual acuity (with or without correction) for detailed inspections.

Basic computer literacy and proficiency in fundamental math.

Foundational knowledge or certification in Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).

Previous experience working within an AS9100 quality management environment.

Hands-on experience with CNC milling or lathe operations in a machine shop setting.

Associate’s degree or equivalent technical education in a related field.
