Transport Refrigeration Services, Inc. is hiring an experienced Reefer Technician / Transport Refrigeration Technician to join our Fort Wayne team. If you have experience working on mobile refrigeration units, trailer reefer systems, diesel-powered refrigeration equipment, or APUs, this is an opportunity to grow your career with a stable company offering strong pay, benefits, and work-life balance.
We are looking for technicians experienced with diagnosing and repairing Thermo King, Carrier, and mobile refrigeration systems used on trucks and trailers.

Transport refrigeration units (reefers)

Trailer refrigeration systems

APUs and diesel-powered auxiliary equipment

Truck and trailer HVAC systems

Electrical diagnostics and preventative maintenance

DOT inspections, brakes, suspension, and trailer repairs
-
$30–$40/hour based on experience

Diagnose and repair reefer units and transport refrigeration systems

Perform preventative maintenance on trucks, trailers, reefers, and APUs
-
Troubleshoot electrical systems and refrigeration components
-
Complete DOT/FHWA inspections
-
Perform brake, suspension, and trailer repairs
-
Handle tire repairs and replacements as needed
-
Complete road service calls when required

Maintain a clean, safe, and organized shop environment
-
3+ years of reefer or transport refrigeration experience preferred
-
Experience with Thermo King and/or Carrier refrigeration units preferred
-
EPA 608 Certification strongly preferred (Type II or Universal)

Valid driver’s license
-
High school diploma or GED
-
Must own basic technician tools/toolbox
-
Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
-
Ability to work independently and on a team
