Duties
- Prepare pizza dough, sauces, toppings, and other ingredients following established recipes and menu specifications
- Operate kitchen equipment such as ovens, mixers, slicers, and food processors safely and efficiently
- Ensure all food handling procedures adhere to food safety sanitizing protocols to maintain cleanliness and prevent contamination
- Cook pizzas using grilling, braising, poaching or other techniques to achieve optimal flavor and texture
- Assist with menu planning by suggesting new pizza combinations or seasonal specials to enhance customer offerings
- Maintain a clean and organized work station, including proper food production practices and sanitation procedures
- Support the culinary team in high-volume production during busy service hours while adhering strictly to recipe adherence and quality standards
Experience
- Previous food service experience in a restaurant or catering environment is highly preferred
- Demonstrated culinary experience with a focus on pizza preparation or similar high-volume food production roles
- Knowledge of food safety management practices including sanitizing procedures and proper food handling techniques
- Skilled in operating kitchen equipment safely and efficiently in a fast-paced setting
- Experience with menu planning, recipe adherence, and meal preparation within the food industry is advantageous
- Familiarity with dietary department standards or dietary aide experience is a plus but not required
- Strong knife skills and proficiency in grilling, braising, poaching, and other cooking methods are essential for success in this role
Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour
