Job Overview: Utility Trailer Sales of Kansas City is looking for an estimator with experience in preparing accurate parts and labor estimates on semi-trailers and box trucks. We are looking for an individual who wants a challenging career in the transportation industry in the Kansas City area. Repair estimates will include general trailer repairs, to minor and major accident damage. Applicant must have good communication skills and be able to work in a team environment to achieve common goals for the customer. Prior experience in a fleet shop or repair facility would be a plus. Job Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Perform accurate assessment of trailer damage
- Document all damages through digital photos and worksheet
- Prepare an accurate parts and labor estimate
- Provide customer with estimate and discuss repair plan
- Follow up with customers during the repair process to ensure customer expectations are met
- Provide estimate and photos as needed to insurance when needed
- Work with shop on repair completion dates
- Work with parts department on parts orders for repairs
- Work with shop, customer and/or insurance on hidden damage when needed
- Document completed product through photos and accurate repair order
