About the Role:
WagMore Animal Hospital is looking for an enthusiastic and caring Dog Daycare and Boarding Attendant to join our team in St. Charles, MO! Responsibilities:
- Supervise and monitor dogs during daycare play sessions to ensure safe and positive interactions
- Provide attentive care for boarded dogs, including feeding, watering, and administering medications as directed
- Maintain clean and sanitary kennel, play area, and facility environments through regular cleaning and disinfecting
- Assess dog behavior and temperament to ensure compatibility during group play
- Communicate daily updates and observations to pet owners and veterinary staff
- Assist with dog handling, bathing, and basic grooming as needed
- Follow established safety protocols and animal handling procedures at all times
Requirements:
- Genuine love for dogs and experience working with or caring for animals
- Ability to read and respond to dog body language and behavior cues
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods and handle dogs of all sizes and breeds
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to animal safety and well-being
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work weekends and holidays as needed
- Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
- Previous experience in a kennel, veterinary, or pet care setting is a plus
