Classic Coatings specializes in decorative coatings, we focus on high quality products and innovation.
We sell through major national retailers and marketplaces, including Amazon, Home Depot and Lowes. We are seeking a highly skilled, detail-oriented E-Commerce Specialist who can seamlessly plug into the Amazon and Home Depot online sales and marketing platforms and order fulfillment workflows while protecting profitability and maintaining account compliance. This role is critical to maintaining accuracy across our e-commerce platforms, ensuring inventory alignment with demand, and supporting day-to-day operational execution.
This is not an entry-level position. The ideal candidate must have direct, hands-on experience managing Amazon Seller Central and large retail e-commerce accounts. Experience with Home Depot Supplier Hub, CommerceHub, or Rithum is strongly preferred.
This position requires someone who is both analytical and operational, comfortable managing data, platforms, and processes while coordinating with warehouse, production, and accounting teams. The environment can be fast-paced at times and requires strong follow-through, organization, and ownership.
Core Responsibilities – E-Commerce Operations
- Manage and process online orders across multiple e-commerce platforms, including Amazon, Home Depot and Lowe’s
- Enter and maintain accurate order details, shipping information, and fulfillment timelines within designated SLA's
- Track all outbound orders using delivery and logistics software
- Coordinate with warehouse and internal teams to ensure orders are picked, packed, and shipped accurately and on time
- Review outgoing shipments for accuracy and quality; address discrepancies prior to dispatch
- Monitor platform performance metrics, account health, and compliance with marketplace policies
- Identify and resolve order issues, returns, chargebacks, and delivery exceptions
- Maintain accurate online inventory levels and flag discrepancies between demand, production, and available stock
- Analyze sales and order data to identify trends, bottlenecks, and opportunities for efficiency improvements
E-Commerce Growth & Optimization
- Develop and implement strategies to improve conversion rates and online sales performance
- Manage and optimize product listings, pricing, images, descriptions, and promotions across platforms
- Utilize CMS tools to maintain content accuracy and consistency
- Conduct market and competitor research to identify trends, customer behavior, and pricing strategies
- Analyze website traffic and user behavior using tools such as Google Analytics
- Implement SEO best practices to improve organic visibility
- Collaborate with marketing, design, and development teams to enhance user experience and sales performance
- Stay current with emerging e-commerce technologies, platform updates, and marketplace changes
Inventory, Shipping & Operational Support
- Track finished goods inventory and ensure availability aligns with order demand
- Assist with raw material inventory tracking and usage reconciliation
- Monitor inbound and outbound shipments (UPS, FedEx, USPS, LTL)
- Process returns and coordinate restocking or disposition as needed
- Support accounts payable (AP) tasks related to freight, logistics, and inventory-related invoices
- Maintain accurate records and documentation for audits and operational reporting
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Supply Chain, or a related field
- Proven experience managing e-commerce operations for Amazon, Home Depot and/or Lowe’s
- Hands-on experience with e-commerce order fulfillment
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (required) and Word
- Experience with inventory tracking and reconciliation in an operational or manufacturing environment
- Solid understanding of content management systems (CMS) and data structures; SQL experience is a plus
- Working knowledge of digital marketing strategies, including SEO, SEM, email marketing, and paid advertising
- Experience with Google Ads or similar advertising platforms preferred
- Familiarity with HTML, CSS, or JavaScript is a plus
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make operational decisions
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities without losing accuracy
