DISTRICT DIRECTOR WEST COAST
The District Director (DD) West Coast Location ( territory includes LA, San Franciso, San Diego and Las Vegas) is responsible for keeping the Head of Retail Up to date on all Retail field aspects and needs within their team and their stores, as well as those that report directly to them and achieving strategic goals across their group & their stores by maximizing sales and profits, staffing and training, ensuring financial integrity, inventory control, customer service, and marketing initiatives together with driving SOP compliance. The DD is responsible for the career and professional development of their direct reports and store personnel.
What You'll Do:
- Proactively lead in all areas of Field leadership and management, keeping close communication flows from the Head of Retail to their teams and from their teams to the Head of Retail and relevant home office partners.
- Conducts regular store visits to ensure effective execution of retail strategic plans, high standards of store operation, employee relations, compliance with company policies and directives, and maximization of sales and profits.
- This position is responsible for the direct supervision of all DM’s, Area Managers, and Store Managers within the district and is responsible for staffing the stores by recruiting and hiring high-performing teams.
- Proactively communicates expectations and monitors their Areas & Store performance weekly through multiple reporting systems. Communicates, takes actions, and sets travel plans based on the needs of business situations.
- Leverages sales trends, traffic, Employee Productivity reporting, and budgets/forecasts to ensure store schedules are effectively written, focusing on delivering Sales Per-hour targets.
- Ensures store openings and closures are executed effectively and are completed on time by managing staffing and executing all other operational items.
- Develop and recruit a high-performing management team, setting objectives and performance managing to deliver excellence.
- Aware of the local market and Brand marketing activities to share with home office partners weekly
- Awareness of current operational, market conditions, and consumer needs.
- Key Performance Indicators:
- - Revenue Performance against Plan, Key KPI’s measures as set by the Head of Retail
- - Districts/Area Customer Service Scores – Scores from consumers who have shopped in our stores.
- - Employee Engagement – Ensuring our workforce is productive and satisfied, measured through EPR, employee surveys, turnover reports, and succession planning.
- - Cost Control – Keeping expenses in line through management of wages (SPH), travel expenses, and store controllable expenses.
- - Asset Protection – Stock Accuracy, Shrink
What You'll Bring:
- Skills Knowledge and Experience:
- Essential Knowledge:
- - A high school degree or college degree is preferred.
- - Retail experience required preferably in footwear and/or fashion apparel.
- - Prior Experience as a District Director/ District Manager
- Successful Experience:
- - Managed 3 or more multi-unit District/Area Managers
- - Managed multiple-retail stores
- - Managed people from a remote location

- Outlet experience preferred.
