Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Physical Therapist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in patient care, with experience in various settings including inpatient, outpatient, and home health. Duties
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients to determine their physical therapy needs.
- Develop and implement personalized care plans based on individual assessments.
- Provide therapeutic interventions such as manual therapy, exercise programs, and trigger point therapy.
- Educate patients and their families about treatment plans, exercises, and home care strategies.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated patient care.
- Document patient progress using EMR systems and maintain accurate medical records.
- Participate in discharge planning to facilitate smooth transitions from inpatient to outpatient or home health settings.
- Stay updated on the latest physiotherapy techniques and best practices in acute care, geriatrics, pediatrics, orthopedics, and more.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of anatomy and physiology related to physical therapy.
- Proficiency in medical terminology relevant to patient assessments and treatment documentation.
- Experience with discharge planning and developing effective care plans for diverse patient populations.
- Familiarity with EMR systems for efficient record keeping and patient management.
- Ability to provide compassionate patient care in various settings including hospitals, clinics, and home environments.
- Understanding of specific therapeutic techniques such as trigger point therapy and orthopedic rehabilitation.
- Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
- Experience in both inpatient and outpatient settings is preferred.
