Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Imaging Technologist I, Radiology, to join our hospital-based medical imaging team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in diagnostic radiology procedures, with a focus on delivering high-quality imaging services in a fast-paced healthcare environment. This role involves performing a variety of imaging examinations to assist in accurate diagnosis and patient care, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and technical standards. The Imaging Technologist I will collaborate closely with physicians, radiologists, and other healthcare professionals to facilitate efficient diagnostic evaluations across multiple modalities.
Responsibilities:
- Prepares and performs radiological (X-ray) imaging in a physician practice or outpatient clinic setting.
- Reads and comprehends imaging order, engaging with physician when order is unclear, complex or warrants deeper review. Selects appropriate scanning protocols and imaging parameters using knowledge of human anatomy.
- Interviews patients to understand risk factors that may warrant a more in-depth examination for safety.
- Uploads imaging results into Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS). Records information into Electronic Medical Recordkeeping (EMR) system.
- Facilitates office visits and gathers patient information as needed.
- Performs a range of clinical tasks to support a cross-functional clinical team that may include Medical Assistants, Paramedics, and RNs. Example tasks assigned as trained in advance include phlebotomy and lab tests.

Required
- Graduate of an accredited program in Radiological Science
- Registration as Radiological Technologist from American Registry Of Radiologic Technologists
- Good understanding of human anatomy - can be established through education or experience
- Experience reading and interpreting radiology orders
Preferred
- Experience using point-of-care-testing platforms
- Experience working with a Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS)
- Experience working in a clinical practice
- Current Medical Assistant certification
- Experience working with EPIC
