Duties
- Prepare ingredients and assemble dishes according to established recipes and menu specifications
- Assist with food prep tasks such as slicing, dicing, marinating, and portioning ingredients using proper knife skills and slicing techniques
- Cook menu items efficiently while maintaining quality standards and presentation
- Follow safety standards in production, including proper food handling, sanitation, and storage procedures
- Support kitchen operations by organizing ingredients, cleaning workstations, and ensuring a smooth workflow during busy service times
- Collaborate with team members to deliver excellent food service experiences and support catering or special event needs when required
- Adhere to all food safety policies to ensure compliance with health regulations and prevent cross-contamination
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food industry roles such as dietary aide, dietary department, restaurant, or catering is highly desirable
- Strong knowledge of food safety management and handling procedures
- Proven skills in food preparation, cooking techniques, and meal assembly
- Experience with menu planning and understanding of dietary requirements is a plus
- Excellent knife skills and slicing techniques for efficient ingredient preparation
- Familiarity with safety standards in production environments and proper use of kitchen equipment
- Ability to work quickly under pressure while maintaining attention to detail and quality standards
- Prior experience in a culinary or kitchen setting demonstrating teamwork, reliability, and a passion for food service
