Decker - The CAT Rental Store is seeking a skilled CDL Driver/Service Technician to join our team.
This person will be responsible for transport of equipment as well as equipment repair in the shop.
Pay: $30-35/hr.
Hours: 7am-5pm 4 days per week, 7am - 12am Saturday

Key qualifications:
- Clean & valid CDL Class A license required
- Proven work experience driving a flatbed required
- Mechanical / Technical Repair Experience
- Strong communication skills
- Extensive knowledge of applicable truck driving rules and regulations
Reporting to the Branch Manager, the CDL Driver/Service Technician is responsible for the following tasks:
- Delivering equipment and repairing and maintaining various equipment to ensure optimal functionality of rentals.
- Ensure Customer Satisfaction with regard to successful delivery of equipment
- Transport (pick-up and delivery of) equipment
- Load and receive equipment in a timely and safe manner
- Inspect machine condition upon arrival
- Train customers on appropriate operation of equipment
- Represent the company in a professional manner
- Perform repairs on equipment as needed
- Ensure Decker products are rent-ready, including inspections, preventative maintenance, and repairs
- Complete and hand in pre-trip inspections and daily truck logs as required by DOT and hand in daily
- Inspect flatbed load prior to departure
- Comply with truck driving rules and regulations (size, weight, route designations, parking, and break periods) as well as with company policies and procedures
Qualifications:
- Must have a CDL Class A with no recent moving or driving violations
- Proven work experience driving a flatbed
- Must be able to meet the background check and drug/alcohol requirements for CDL drivers as outlined by the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA)
- Extensive knowledge of applicable truck driving rules and regulations
- Adaptability and foresight to handle unexpected situations (traffic, weather conditions, etc.)
- Mechanical / Technical Repair Experience
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Good communication skills and customer service orientation
